About Style Economics

Annotated Markets covers the intersection of geopolitics and capital markets.

Because the gap between what’s happening and what’s priced is where the interesting analysis lives. That gap tends to be widest when an event is complicated, when the consensus interpretation is lazy, or when the relevant expertise sits in a different discipline than the one doing the analysis. Examples include a defence procurement decision is read by defence analysts, a sanctions regime is read by lawyers, and an election outcome is read by political scientists. Rarely does anyone ask what the combined picture means for sovereign spreads, currency positioning, or equity sector rotation. That’s the question this publication tries to answer.

Each issue takes a specific development and works through what it means for where money should be moving, in specific asset classes, geographies, and trades.

It publishes every day. If that sounds useful, subscribe. It’s free to start.
